Pain and inflammation
A gentle yet deep micromassage for pain management and inflammation relief
It’s not easy to live with it, but a lot of people have to cope with pain that doesn’t go away easily: low back pain or neck pain due to incorrect posture, annoying sciatica, muscle pain in the shoulders. In some cases, the widespread and persistent pain becomes a disease itself, fibromyalgia: a problem more common in women, which has made victims even among celebrities (Lady Gaga for example has admitted to suffering from it) and for which there is no known cure.
Pain and our body
Pain is a very important signal from the organism: it indicates that something is putting it under stress and causing damage, for example too intense a workout is inducing muscular pain, or an incorrect position held for too long is causing back pain. ‘Listening’ to pain and not ignoring it is therefore important to manage its causes and the inflammation that often accompanies it; the parts of the body most often affected by pain of various kinds are:
- the back and the neck, often due to a sedentary lifestyle and bad posture;
- the arms, the legs and muscles, in general, almost always due to excessive or inadequate workout;
- knees and other joints that are often painful because they are involved in trauma.
In the case of fibromyalgia, a disease that affects 90% of women, pain is felt throughout the body, is accompanied by muscle stiffness and fatigue and above all becomes chronic: nothing seems to relieve it and there are no effective therapies.
